About VIRUNGA Business Group

VIRUNGA Express, is a group of companies which include a public transport company called Virunga Express,a Local Money Transfer "Virunga Money Transfer". Virunga Express started activities on 8th-August 2001, created by Niyitegeka Bonaventure, a young entrepreneur by then, only 25 years old, inspired by a similar existing company “Volcano Express” when he was at National University of Rwanda.

The same year he shifted to KIST( Kigali Institute of Science,Technology and Management) to be able to to run well the enfant business at the time.

Apart from the transport company, the group has a Local Money Transfer; “Virunga Money Transfer” with more 20 Offices in the whole country, Licenced in April, 2010 by National Bank of Rwanda( BNR). Now the Group has more than 200 employees and intends to open more than 40 Officess by 2020( Reference as a country vision).
